Studio Insights - Behind the Scenes of My Creative Sanctuary

WELCOME TO MY CREATIVE SPACE

Step into the heart of my work – my studio. A place where ideas become images, where emotions take form on canvas.

THE SPACE

My studio is part of our apartment. Of course, I dream of having a dedicated space someday – tall ceilings, large canvases, bright natural light. I see studios like that on social media, and yes… I get dreamy. But I know everything comes in its own time. I’m not in a rush.

For now, I create in a space filled with light and carefully organized tools – paper, cardboard, plastic, and reused materials I transform into something new. My artworks are always around me, hanging on the walls. The room might be small, but it holds the full rhythm of creation.

TOOLS OF TRANSFORMATION

  • Traditional brushes and digital styluses

  • Acrylics, charcoal, chalk, spray paint, pastels

  • Large and small canvases waiting for their story

  • Worn-out clothes turned into painting cloths

  • A clean desk with my laptop for the business side

  • Shelves full of sketchbooks, ideas, and journals

  • And a growing collection of creative “maybe’s”

THE CREATIVE RHYTHM

Creation begins in my mind. I let myself feel inspired. I imagine what I’d like to paint — even though I know it will always turn out differently. Sometimes I just start, especially when I need to loosen up or shift from overthinking to feeling.

My process always begins with a chaotic sketch or wash — even if there’s already a figure or idea beneath it. That first stage is a release. It’s the connection phase.

I often work on 2–3 pieces at once. When one painting tells me to pause, I move to the next. Sometimes the flow is strong — I just follow its lead.

INSPIRATION

Inspiration comes from within. From small moments, lights, ideas, people, places. I no longer seek it — I trust it will always arrive. That’s how I stay authentic.

At first, I was influenced by other artists. I admired their style and wanted to create like them. But I always stayed true to myself. Even when I followed a similar idea, my colors, shapes, and rhythm made it my own.

Now, I don’t feel the urge to imitate. My admiration for others remains — but I’ve found my path, and I enjoy walking it.

THE DIGITAL CORNER

A dedicated space where analog meets digital. Here I create digital artworks – experimenting with textures and techniques that stretch the boundaries of contemporary art. It’s fascinating… and addictive.

CURRENT PROJECTS

On the easel right now:

  • A new portrait of my niece – a radiant soul and beautiful person.

  • A large abstract work inspired by Mediterranean sunsets and childlike wonder.

THE ENERGY

The energy comes from a deep desire to connect with the universal. Painting is a kind of stillness – a space where time stretches and emotion settles.

BEHIND THE SCENES

  • Early mornings with movement: a walk or short indoor workout, followed by tea and silence

  • Long painting sessions with intuition and rhythm

  • Breaks with mindful meals

  • Afternoon creativity until rest calls

  • Evening time for learning, growing, and building

  • Quiet moments of reflection before letting go
